Setting Up Your Browser for Maximum Security :-

=+============================+=
Browsers should be the first line of defense for anyone to protect themselves against malwares. In this article, I will discuss how you can maximize security on the most popular browsers out there which are Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Internet Explorer. Though so many people IE, there is still a vast majority of people sticking to the oldie no matter what, hence it's inclusion. Since I will include instructions for all browsers, you can simply skip to the part where I explain the steps for the particular browser you are using skipping the others. I'll try to keep this tutorial short and straight to the point. Another thing is that, this tutorial will not give you complete security or maximum privacy. After all, it takes common sense and a bit of intuition to secure yourselves. This is merely something that might extend your privacy and security a bit more.

General CHanges :

STEP #1: Disabling Flash 3rd Party Cookies

= Click Start > Control Panel.
= Go to System and Security > Storage Tab.
= Select 'Block all sites from storing information on this computer'.
= Select Advanced Tab.
= Check 'Allow Adobe to install updates'.

Step #2: Use A Search Engine That Gives More Privacy :

Our beloved Google is pretty well known to record every single query you make, every address you store, every account you make and every information you ever enter into any of it's services. If you respect your privacy, you should definitely try and use another search engine. While the transformation might not be comfortable, you should be able to get used toit after couple of days. With that said, I'll first list various search engine that gives you better privacy and then tell a bit about each engine one by one. The search engines are :

-StartPage
-DuckDuckGo
-IxQuick

StartPage is my favorite for being a very light and resourceful search engine. It is powered by Google but it is confirmed not to track your IP address or set tracking cookies.

DuckDuckGo is yet another widely popular search engine gaining popularity very quickly and usually said to be a bit powerful than StartPage. I use DuckDuckGo for it being better at serving accurate web results than StartPage. Ixquick is a decent one too but I just don't like it very much. But yeah, it might be the one suiting you. Now that we have seen two quick ways you can increase your privacy in any browsers, we will see what we can do on independent browsers for maximum security.
